Golfers can get in to the swing of things with a bucket full of 100 balls to let loose on the driving range at Oulton Hall. Once they’re on the 6459-yard course, players will have to navigate the undulating green of hidden bunkers and tricky corners with their best drives, chips and short game shots (usually £45 per person).
There are two courses on the estate; the 18-hole, par 71 Calverley course which overlooks a hill and dale landscape, while the 9-hole, par 36 The Hall course is located on the north east side of the estate. Some points offer sweeping countryside views or an atmospheric tee-off in the shadow of the manor house. In the golfing academy there is access to a floodlit 16-bay driving range, two teaching bays, video analysis and radar technology. Oulton Hall itself is a four star 18th century Grade II listed hotel housing 152 bedrooms, a luxury spa, a double AA rosette awarded restaurant, and a chandelier-laden drawing room where afternoon teas are served.
