Three words are sure to attract fans of sports and snacks to Locker Room: golf, nachos, and beer. Golfers can swing, chip and putt to their hearts’ content for two hours on their choice of the world’s most luxurious courses (usually £60), while chowing down on nachos with jalapeños, cheese and salsa, topped with either chilli con carne or strips of cajun chicken (£6.45). Cool refreshment takes the shape of a cold bottle or pint of beer each (£3.40).
The notoriously wet British weather need not affect golf days at Locker Room with its indoor simulators, which mimic over 130 international courses, including Texas’ Pine Springs, Dubai’s Sharjah, and Quebec’s Manoir Richelieu. The virtual golf facilities also allow for lessons with PGA Professional, Stuart McEwing, who uses video analysis and state-of-the-art technology to improve games of players of all abilities. The restaurant serves up a range of diverse foods from different cuisines, with mains including the Cajun chicken burger and the chicken and bacon salad, and sharing platters including haddock goujons and chilli jalapeno poppers. There are two function rooms on site in which business meetings can be held - and just steps away from the golf simulators and bar and restaurant for when business is adjourned. Corporate packages can be easily arranged for companies interested in a golf-based retreat.
