Spread across a tree-lined fairway, Hassocks Golf Club celebrates the sport amongst the Sussex countryside. Pairs or quartets of golfers can brave the 18-hole course over multiple rounds, negotiating undulating terrain and an array of water hazards, ditches and other troublesome obstacles.

Groupon Asks Michael, General Manager of Hassocks Golf Club, where the risks and rewards of the course lie, and why Nick Faldo is a name he'll always remember.
G: What's your favourite thing about the course?
"The 11th hole – it has a reputation for being a card wrecker. The player has to overcome two water hazards. But, as it's a par five, it also gives the golfer a chance for a birdie; it's a real risk and reward hole."
G: Sounds tricky. What advice would you give to beginners?
"Learning the correct technique before you pick up any bad habits will serve you well for the future."
G: What keeps people coming back?
"The fantastic condition of the greens and the inclusive nature of the club. We try to give everyone a warm and friendly welcome."
G: And finally, what’s been your favourite moment in golfing history?
"Nick Faldo beating Greg Norman in the 1996 US Masters. With one round to go he was trailing by six shots, but he ended up winning by six. "
