During a day out on the Grassmoor course, golfers can attempt to best their own initial scores as well as each other's. The 18-hole course unfurls across a swathe of heathland peppered with bunkers and other tricky obstacles. Each golfer's exertions are fuelled by a choice of bacon or sausage cob accompanied by a cup of tea or coffee, and a buggy can be hired for a supplement of £14 per round or £20 for the full day.

The 18-hole course is well established on its heathland terrain, and the centre's practice facilities include a 300-yard driving range and a putting green. Elsewhere, a pro shop stocks handy equipment and accessories and a bar and restaurant serve meals and refreshments, while the Hardwick Suite hosts functions for up to 120 guests.
